In this analysis of education spending in Nigeria, ABANTU for Development analyzes the flow of education funds from states to local governments and from local governments to schools. The goal of this research is to determine the amount of funding actually reaching schools, and to determine how the funding impacts the learning environment and number of students enrolled, with an emphasis on girls and children with special needs. This research is expected to inform policy and advocacy efforts aimed at improving the usage of education funding.
