TAP Hosts Peer Learning Workshop in Dar es Salaam

The Transparency and Accountability Program team recently returned from Dar es Salaam, where we hosted a peer learning workshop as the launch event for our newest grant round.  This grant round is supporting TAP’s five longer term grantees as well as  ten newly selected organizations to design and implement a Citizen Report Card (CRC), a tool for systematically gathering user feedback on experiences with public services and advocating for improvements.

First Global Assembly for Budget Transparency, Accountability and Participation

The First Global Assembly for Budget Transparency, Accountability and Participation took place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on November 18-19th. This event brought together nearly 100 civil society groups from 56 countries and 12 international organizations working on public finance and budget accountability issues to launch a global effort to make public budgets transparent, participatory, and accountable.
