IDPMS was established in the year 1988 with the objective of providing instruction and promoting diffusion of knowledge with regard to the development sector; and working for the improvement of the socio-economic situation of the poor and disadvantaged people in India. IDPMS stands for Social Justice, Economic Fairplay, Gender Equality, Concern for Environment and Transparency and Accountability. IDPMS has worked in the areas of rural water supply and sanitation, health & education sectors, public health research and advocacy, gender sensitization and good governance. The mission of IDPMS is the creation of values that foster economic and social justice, and the empowerment of the constituency of the rural poor, particularly women, towards meaningful ends such as the production of goods or services through just and equitable means.
