The Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit and public policy oriented organization based in Accra, Ghana. It is dedicated to the promotion of society and government based on the rule of law and integrity in public administration. The Center’s mission is to promote democracy, good governance and the development of liberal economic environment. In so doing, CDD seeks to foster the ideals of liberty, enterprise and integrity in government and society at large. In pursuance of its mission, the Center promotes research and publication on issues relating to democracy and economic liberalization; monitors, analyzes and documents the progress of democratic consolidation; promotes transparency, accountability and integrity in the exercise of administrative and political discretion and in the allocation and use of public resources. With a strong capacity for research, analysis and advocacy, the Center collaborates, partners and networks with a wide range of domestic and external bodies to undertake programs to address national and regional challenges in areas such as democracy building, anticorruption, governance improvements, peaceful resolution of conflict and post-conflict/authoritarian transitional justice and reconciliation.
