Concern for Environmental Development And Research (CEDAR) is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit, nongovernmental development organization formed in 1989 in Bangladesh. It has three core objectives- freedom from poverty, freedom from ignorance and freedom from oppression. The organization visualizes a Bangladesh free from hunger, poverty, mal-governance, environmental degradation and all forms of exploitation based on age, sex, religion and ethnicity and a society which is economically productive, equitable and genuinely democratic within 2020. The development goal of the organization is to catalyze liveliness and activism in ensuring fundamental freedom, social justice, equal rights and equal opportunity for all, especially the disadvantaged and deprived. CEDAR works in the areas of HIV/AIDS prevention, poverty reduction, non-formal education, maternal child health & family planning, and good governance and anti corruption issues.

TAP is pleased to announce the opening of our latest request for proposals. In the newest phase of our Grants Program, TAP will sponsor up to ten (10) organizations to design and implement a citizen report card (CRC) project and related advocacy that focuses on improving how money is being spent and how services are being delivered in the health, water, and education sectors at the national, sub-national, and/or local level in their countries. Tracking Instructional Materials Distribution in Public Primary Schools In Ghana: A Study by CDD

Recognizing that there are large discrepancies in the level of access to textbooks and other instructional materials in Ghana, the Ghana Center for Democratic Development will be carrying out a PETS to track the dispursement of instructional materials from the National Government down to public primary schools, identify any leakages and their impacts, and develop recommendations to make the system more efficient.
Tracking Rwanda's Nine Year Basic Education Program

Following the introduction in 2009 of the Nine Year Basic Education Program (9YBE), which offers nine years of education to all Rwandan children free of charge, the Government of Rwanda has recently made available a capitation grant to the country’s schools for their operations. To ensure the transparent and accountable management of the capitation grant, independent monitoring is essential.
