The African Network for the Prevention and Protection against Child Abuse and Neglect (ANPPCAN) Uganda Chapter is a national membership non-governmental organization in Uganda. ANPPCAN Uganda Chapter’s mission is the prevention of and protection against child abuse and neglect through strengthening the organization and implementation of activities in the areas of research, advocacy and service delivery, working with children and communities for sustained impact. ANPPCAN Uganda Chapter’s vision is the creation of a Ugandan society that upholds children rights and is free of child abuse and neglect. ANPPCAN Uganda Chapter was established in 1992 to:- Serve as a national centre for the prevention of and protection against child abuse and neglect in Uganda; Conduct, advocate, promote, and defend the rights of children; research and facilitate the exchange of information on child abuse and neglect and other problems affecting children; Alert and impress upon government and other bodies to improve material and legal conditions affecting children; Advise and offer assistance to genuine local and international bodies and organizations working in the field of child rights and prevention and protection against child abuse.
