In this grant round, TAP will support up to ten (10) organizations for 12 months to design and implement a Citizen Report Card project that focuses on improving how money is being spent and how services are being delivered in the health, water, and education sectors at the national, sub-national, and/or local level(s) in their countries. The overall goal of each supported project will be to improve the effectiveness of public spending and service delivery in a health or education sub-sector or program so that government resources are reaching and improving the lives of those who need them most. The grants program is open to any non-government organization from target countries in Sub-Saharan Africa: Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Full proposals will be accepted until the close of business on 21 October 2011. Organizations that do not submit an application or are not selected are welcome to submit an application to our next grant round (the second TAP Open Window grant round, expected late 2012).
